I have met a lot of people who can create some truly impressive things.
One of my dearest friends can create beautiful melodies on a piano.
One can captivate the eye with colorful paintings.
One came up with an entire notebook filled with ways for people to connect and communicate better.
One can take ordinary objects and build extraordinary pieces of furniture.
One can read a Bible verse and connect it with people's day to day lives.
One can take pictures that capture the beauty in everything and everyone.
I have met a lot of people who can create some truly impressive things, more than just those who I have listed above.
What I have learned from each and everyone of them is, to make time for the things that inspire us. It is easy to be swept up by work or school, to be taken away from our creative side. I have lost so much time to things that do not make me smile. Some of our negative tasks are unavoidable, true, but for the most part, they are purely our choice.
We choose not to make time for ourselves on a daily basis.
By now, we should know how long it takes us to do our daily tasks, so try to schedule out your day in a way that will include creative time. Time where you can write, read, draw, or explore.
Time where you can be your truest self.
