I am so overwhelmed by the love that is currently in my life. God is sooo good, y'all.
It is inspiring to know that there are people in this world who are so in touch with the Love of God that they are able to effortlessly share it with everyone around them.
There is a woman of God in my life (now there are plenty of strong women of God in my life, but I want to highlight this one in particular) who has been a blessing since the very moment that I met her. Each day she brings new light into my life in ways that I never expect.
Her light is so vibrant that I know, with certainty, that it is the Light of God shining through her and into the world.
I am not sure if you have anyone like this in your life, but heaven knows that people like her can change so many lives.
She is able to take a simple morning and turn it into a moment of pleasant reflection on where God has taken you. Sometimes we forget to take a moment and recall all of the things that the Lord has done for us. The places and situations that Jesus has carried us out of are occasionally hard to think about, but it is important to know your own testimony.
She has told me parts of her testimony in the past, but the way that she tells her testimony is not in sorrow or hurt, but in gratefulness of how God has taken her and molded her into the beautiful soul that she is today.
She recently shared a kind gift with me that discusses the answer to the commonly asked question of "What would Jesus do?", the response is that "He would love first". This saying is dear to my heart. My favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:19 - "We Love because He first Loved us". This verse has brought me through so many hard moments, and continues to do so.
This grace driven woman has displayed love in so many ways that I am honored to call her friend, and to truly know her precious heart.
What I challenge you (and myself) to do is strive to be more like my dear friend M.B. She shows love the way that Jesus intended for us to. Christians are called to love, so start today by showing love to a friend, a family member, a co-worker, or a stranger. The effects of showing love are instrumental to our development as Christians. Help yourself grow while helping others.
